i just watched the break-up of T&B
again on Soap Net. Kassie, the way you cried, it broke my heart.
How did you do that? You didn't just have tears, you were CRYING!

Hi Kassie,
I've watched you on OLTL since you began and I love your work!
I'm a 37 year old mother
of 5 and my youngest, who is 6 1/2 years old, has to wear a hearing
aid. He lost the hearing in his left ear because of having so
many ear infections due to an immune deficiency when he was little.
Now he has almost no eardrum left. I know that your son has a
bit of a different problem and even had the implant done, which
is not an option for my son, but how do you deal with having a
son that you treat as "normal" but the doctors label "disabled"?
My son has already had
a skin graft to try and make a new eardrum but it failed. They
don't know if he will ever hear out of that ear. I admire what
you do for the hearing impaired and any advice you can give me,
I would greatly appreciate.

It's only in one ear? You only need one good ear for languange
development. He will be fine...It's you and I that have to toughen
our skin and believe there is something greater be learned by
all of it. I 'm very proud of JQ's progress and he is a very courages
little guy. We can't be sloppy parents and we have to work alittle
harder...but the blessings come back abundantly.

Hi Kassie,
Just wanted to shoot you an email and tell you what a great job you're doing
with Blair. I've watched the show with my wife since you came to the show
in the early '90's (Actually got her hooked on it believe it or not).
We loved the live week and your performance was unbelievable and deserving
of an emmy. I've wanted to be an actor for a long time because of
performances like those, I just haven't had the chance to pursue it yet.
We are hopefully going to Florida for Super Soap Weekend for my wife's
birthday and hope to get a chance to see you with all the rest.
